Slimy
Grainy green and yellow leaf, not from here
Bitter
Thickly protected, yet delicate to the touch
Babies gumming on its end
Melts and squishes
Between my tongue and
Strange roof of mouth
If you remove my peel, you'll

eat around them or

enjoy me at all.
We always called the bruises the "brown sugar spots" :) They are just sweeter and taste differently...an essential part of their transportation and usefulness to the world. XOXO
